In the 1960s, I joined the swim club and my high school swim team. In 1971, I joined the University of Hawai`i-Manoa swim team. I began Masters swimming in 2010, competing in both pool and open water events. I currently hold some Top Ten U.S. Masters times and state age group records. In nearly ten years, my times have not declined— an accomplishment I’m proud of for someone of my age. I’ve watched hours of world class swimmers and noted common traits of the most top swimmers today. I’ve attended coaching clinics where I’ve learned the latest drills, techniques, and methodologies. All the best swimmers use observation from the pool deck by knowledgeable coaches and teachers to improve their swim. I want to bring that experience to you and help bolster your techniques and become a faster swimmer.
